We were all ready and left the comfort of our Thermal Hotel in the morning.

We drove, on Turkey's wonderful highways, past the rolling hills with trees showing off their fall colours similar to at home.

There was the occasional village on a distant hill and a few volcanoes.  There are a few, both active and  and dormant.  The ones we saw looked peacefully asleep.  Unfortunately, we were past them before I had time to get the camera out.  We saw some lovely pastoral scenes with shepherds tending their flocks.
