Just now the call to prayer was heard, as it is five times a day. Many tourist, on travel forums I visit, view this as an annoyance, especially the one about 6 a.m. I, however, take it as my call to pray. Although my prayers are different, it does serve as a jolt to remind me to say my prayers my way even if sometimes it is just a momentary thought. I like it.
There are different views among Muslims on this subject. Some of us does not want to use speaker to call to prayer. But so many of muslims decided to use technology. For me, it is not an obligation. In the earlier times, Imam (prayer man) climb the mosquee tower and made this with his own shout. This wasn't disturbing people who is not muslim. So now many of muslim decided to use these speakers. They think that it is better because the sound can be heard from far places. You know this is an invitation to pray for muslims. In a day , we pray five times and it is a physical activity. This activities are important about our religion but if you examine the activitiy you will see that the activity is also sport activitiy.
