Good morning world.  This morning I got up around 7:30 brewed and took my Chinese medicine, went across the street for some simit, and had breakfast.  While enjoying  breakfast on the terrace, watching an old episode of Magnum, my overseer came by to admonish me.  With his very limited English he made it quite clear that I was not spending enough time in the red water tub, and too much time on the internet or with my camera.  Guess I've been told!!!

Yesterday I stayed home until late afternoon when I decided to go take a look at some of the textiles.  This area is famous for their towels.  So many beautiful Turkish towels, robes, wraps etc.  I think I have decided what I will buy.  I stopped at a stand making some kind of meat and salad sandwich on hot grilled bread.  Took one home for dinner.

Today I must make my way to the only ATM and hope that my card works.

Nihat has kept in touch with daily phone calls.  Each day he asks if I am staying another day.  We still have not determined if they will drive over to pick me up and then we all go Didim, or if I will take buses back to Tire and then we go to Didim.  I think I will tell him today that I will be ready to leave tomorrow, Monday.  I will then only have one week left.  A month away goes so very quickly.  Kam, please give me permission to stay away longer next time, pretty please.

Not leaving tomorrow.  Nihat just called me and together we decided that I will stay put here and he and Sadiye will drive down on Thursday.  They will stay one night here and then on Friday we will drive to Sami's in Didim.  On Saturday or Sunday, at the latest, we will drive back to Tire.  Monday is packing and last minute shopping.  Tuesday they will take me to the airport in Izmir.

Now that I have four more days here I will make some plans.  I will see about bus schedules for a day trip or two.
