Tuesday I opted to stay home all day.  I was tired from all that exercise - getting into and out of the tub for four days :)

Today we left Tire about 9 am for a village called Karahayit.  Nihat had called ahead to some friends he knows who live close by because they speak English.  They lived in Kitchener for a year before moving to Toronto, where their daughter still lives.  Osgur and his wife came with us into the village to find the place where I will stay for the next four, five, or six days.
I have my own little mini studio with my own thermal tub.  My kitchen is on my terrace.  I have a large table, fridge, two burner gas cooktop and a sink.  I face the courtyard and can see all the comings and goings.

On the drive down we again passed through miles and miles of beautiful rolling hills, Turkish mountains.  We saw lots of fig and cotton fields.  There were people picking cotton, but the figs were finished for the season.  There was a view of  famous Pamukkale from the distance.  I will go there for a day outing because where I am staying is only about 2 kms from there.

Nihat et al left and he and Sadiye are probably on their way to Tire right now.

I quite like this little place.  It is not frequented by international tourists, but is very famous with domestic tourists for the red water thermal baths.  My pension is family run and they have WIFI!!!!

Osgur's wife gave me some homemade borek to have later - yum.

Everyone seems really friendly here.  I took a walk up and down the street.  No photos yet because I didn't want to appear intrusive.  Tomorrow I will take the camera with me.

The big news is that this tub has no cold water.  You fill the tub and wait for it to cool down enough to tolerate it.  This should be interesting because my newly learned method was to get into the tub empty and then fill it with a mix of hot and cold water.

They say that the cold is not the good water, so they filled my tub and told me to out and about for a few hours and try it in three hours.  My three hours are now up, so it is time to try the new tub.

A man in one of the shops told me to take my rings and bracelets off before going into the water.  I am also wearing my gold ankle bracelet which need to come off, but I can't do it.  I will have to find someone here to take it off for me.
OK, I it's off now and all the crown jewels are safely stowed away.

Time for that tub.
