Finally, I have a few minutes online. It is Friday night at 7:30. So much has happened and I have met so many people, some new and some old friends.
Arrived in Turkey without any issues whatsoever. Nihat's brother picked us up at the airport in Izmir and we went directly to their family village where we were greeted so graciously and treated to a lovely plate of home made borek and Turkish tea. Unfortunately, I didn't have the sense to get the camera out.
Later we arrived at their place in Tire. They sure have the best of both worlds with the old old village (over 1000 years old) and the modern life in the new apartment they bought a few years ago.
